The PUMA x LaMelo Ball Fortnite experience is one of the most successful branded activations ever built inside Fortnite Creative, a collaboration developed by Command Line in partnership with PUMA's emerging marketing team and the world of NBA superstar LaMelo Ball.

The project brought LaMelo's explosive basketball persona and PUMA's distinct brand identity into the Fortnite universe, creating an immersive branded environment where players could engage with the PUMA x LaMelo world on their own terms. The results speak for themselves.

The Campaign

PUMA's emerging marketing team came to Command Line with a clear brief: build a Fortnite experience that felt authentically LaMelo, his energy, his style, his game, while delivering the kind of brand integration that would make PUMA proud. The challenge was to avoid the trap that kills most branded game experiences: feeling like an ad that happens to be interactive.

Command Line's approach was to lead with gameplay and let the brand be the world. LaMelo's personality and PUMA's visual identity became the DNA of the environment rather than a banner placed on top of an otherwise generic map.

The Experience

  • Branded Environment Design: Every element of the world was built to feel like LaMelo Ball's court, his aesthetic, his culture, his energy.   • Custom Game Mechanics: Command Line developed original gameplay mechanics tailored to the basketball and LaMelo theme, so the interactive experience felt as fresh and dynamic as the brand collaboration itself.
